What the positioning says

BTC at 83,310 sits about 2,680 (3.2%) above the gamma flip at 80,629, so the market is in positive gamma: dealer hedging should tend to dampen moves while price holds above the flip. The cushion is thinner than it was, though. Net GEX fell to $160.2M from $254.9M a day ago and $302.5M a week ago, and the flip has climbed from 72,437 a month ago, so it now sits much closer under price. The biggest call wall is 90,000, two-thirds of it from the 30 Oct expiry, while the largest negative pocket is at 83,000, right at spot and mostly from the 13 Oct and 16 Oct expiries, which roll off this week.
